Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American model and actress who is also a TV hostess and comedian. Panganiban is often referred to as the "new Queen of Drama" by many media publications. Panganiban is also regarded as one of the Philippines the most skilled and diverse actors. Angelica Hale suffered from double pneumonia in the year 2012. At the time, she was four years old when she was diagnosed. The reason for her sickness was an aggressive strain of strep bacteria. She desperately needed life-saving medical intervention and was put on ECMO life-support at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. The patient was suffering from various organ malfunctions, which included failing kidneys. Hemodialysis and later peritoneal dialysis was her new norm. After nearly 80 days in the hospital, from near-death to long road towards recovery, she made it home but her life forever changed. Angelica had been being on dialysis for the past year and a half before she was finally ready to undergo the most important surgery of her entire existence, a kidney transplant. The kidney she would receive from none other than her mother. Angelica, along with her mom, underwent successful kidney transplantation on September 13, 2013 at two fantastic hospitals situated right next to each other - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale, a young teenager from Atlanta, who always thought of becoming an actor as well as a performer she is still working toward that goal.
